Sunday 23rd of February saw 2 Fullerians Women wearing the Rose and representing England Deaf Rugby in their fixture against Jamaica.
Laurel Stockwell, Captain of the Women’s team gained another England cap as she started in the front row at Grasshoppers Rugby Club.
Joining Laurel was Gaby Selvey, currently playing for both the U18 Girls squad and the Women’s team at Fullerians. Gaby gained her first England cap much to her delight, “It felt amazing to be on the pitch, my blood was obviously rushing and I felt as nervous as ever but I just had to think of it as another match and give it my all”
Both Laurel and Gaby had the added support of the U14Girls squad who went as a team to whoop, cheer and show their support for their fellow Fullerians.
EDRU women went on to win 19-17 after a hard and physical game.
The next fixture sees the team take on Wales in a home and away fixture on 15th March and 26th April.
