The event is sponsored by SecureCloud+ and allowed free entry to clubs from all over the South of England. This event is the largest girls only festival in the UK with over 1200 players being involved.

Our U14s & U12s faced some new clubs and for some of the girls it was their first taste of 10 aside rugby.

Organisers ensured that the players had maximum game time. The U12s finished 3rd in their group and the U14s finished 4th. Both teams faced some tough clubs but proceeded through to playing in the knockout rounds so they finished the day with lots of rugby.

However, the U16s Girls squad progressed through their group stages as Pool winners having won 2 and drawn 1 game.

The girls then faced local club Watford in the quarter finals and won the game with just one score.

The U16s then breezed through the semi finals against Reading and into a Final against Farnham.

The day had taken it's toil and some girls were unable to take part in the final due to injuries.

However, all those involved put in a mammoth performance and dug really deep. The tackled and rucked with passion to ensure Farnham were starved of ball in space.

The U16s won the final 10 to 0 and came out as RAF Halton U16s Cup Winners.

This is an amazing achievement and a massive reward for the hard work the girls put in not just on the day but in pre season.
